Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Garforth for a Loft Insulation Installer. The role involves preparing loft spaces, measuring and cutting insulation materials, and installing insulation in accordance with building regulations and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include:

The installer will conduct basic quality checks, report any issues or hazards, and collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to ensure projects are completed on time. The position requires adherence to health and safety procedures, accurate documentation of completed work, and courteous communication with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Practical skills in construction or trade work, including safe use of hand and power tools and basic understanding of building practices.
  • Ability to read and follow installation instructions, site plans, and safety guidelines with strong attention to detail.
  • Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to work in loft spaces, handle insulation materials, and perform manual handling tasks safely.
  • Awareness of health and safety standards, including PPE use, working at height, and safe handling of insulation products.
  • Strong reliability and time management, with the ability to work independently and as part of a site team to meet project deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with supervisors, colleagues, and site contacts in a professional manner.
  • Previous experience in insulation installation, construction, or a related trade is beneficial but not essential; training can be provided.
  • Valid UK driving license and ability to travel to sites in and around Garforth is an advantage.
