Contract Opportunity: Logging & Monitoring Specialist | Glasgow
📍 Location: Glasgow – onsite 2–3 days per week
📅 Duration: 6 months
🚀 Start: ASAP – October
We’re looking for a Logging & Monitoring Specialist to join a dynamic engineering team working on Atlas 2.0, a next-generation multi-cloud control plane spanning AWS, GCP, Azure and on-premise infrastructure.
This is a key role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex cloud challenges, driving automation and building robust observability solutions across modern cloud environments.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, implement and manage logging, monitoring and inventory solutions across GCP and AWS
- Develop automation and Infrastructure-as-Code using Python and Terraform
- Contribute to the continued development of the Atlas 2.0 platform, with a particular focus on GCP logging and inventory
- Implement observability for containerised applications and Kubernetes clusters
- Automate operational processes to improve reliability and reduce manual intervention
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and applications using Bash/Zsh and CLI tools
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate logging and inventory capabilities across the platform
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance and operational best practices
- Contribute to AI enablement and wider DevOps initiatives

What we’re looking for

Essential:
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP and AWS
- Proven experience building and managing logging, monitoring and inventory solutions
- Strong Python and Terraform skills
- Experience with Git and modern DevOps practices
- Strong shell/command-line skills, particularly Bash or Zsh
- Demonstrable experience driving automation initiatives
- Experience with Kubernetes and/or containerisation
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code
Desirable:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
