Logistics Department Administrator – Cramlington

TEXO Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Logistics Department Administrator for our external client based in Cramlington.

We are looking for an organised and proactive Logistics Department Administrator to support the smooth day-to-day running of the dispatch and logistics operations.

This is a customer-facing role where you will be responsible for coordinating dispatches, liaising with customers, suppliers and transport providers, and ensuring orders are processed and delivered accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily dispatches, ensuring orders are prepared, packed and shipped accurately and on time.
  • Produce courier labels, shipping documentation and contents advice for multi-parcel consignments.
  • Liaise with shop-floor staff to coordinate order readiness, packing requirements and dispatch priorities.
  • Work closely with internal departments to resolve order and dispatch queries.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding delivery updates, dispatch queries and order information.
  • Liaise with suppliers, couriers and transport companies to arrange collections, track consignments and resolve delivery issues.
  • Process customer orders and maintain accurate order records.
  • Assist with stock management, including monitoring stock levels and updating systems as required.
  • Maintain clear and accurate administrative records and reports.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a logistics, dispatch, warehouse administration or similar role.
  • Experience producing courier labels and managing multi-parcel dispatches.
  • Experience with stock management and order processing.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with customers, suppliers, transport providers, shop-floor staff and internal departments.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work accurately under pressure and meet dispatch deadlines.
