Logistics Administrator

Location: Sheffield

Permanent | Full-time | Onsite | up to £27k

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting a Logistics Administrator on behalf of our client, a well-established business based in Sheffield.

This is a varied administrative role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of logistics and stores operations. You’ll be responsible for coordinating transport and export documentation, maintaining accurate system records, supporting goods-in and despatch processes, and working closely with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and couriers.

The Role

As a Logistics Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing commercial invoices and packing lists for EU exports.
  • Preparing despatch documentation and maintaining accurate records.
  • Raising subcontract purchase orders and maintaining accurate system data.
  • Booking and coordinating transport with couriers and monitoring delivery progress.
  • Communicating shipping updates and delivery status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Organising courier collections and tracking deliveries.
  • Using customer-specific delivery portals to provide advance shipping notifications.
  • Supporting the booking-in and receipt of goods.
  • Providing proof of delivery documentation to the Finance team and assisting with audit queries.
  • Preparing and printing works orders and stores documentation for kitting and issuing goods to the factory floor.
  • Supporting weekly stock/PIC counts and maintaining accurate records.
  • Managing the filing and archiving of important logistics documentation.
  • Providing occasional administrative support to the Planning team, including loading sales orders.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is organised, accurate, and comfortable working in a busy logistics environment. You’ll need to be confident communicating with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and transport providers, while managing multiple priorities effectively.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence working with computerised systems.
  • Good numerical ability and excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to produce accurate work and maintain clear records.
  • A positive, team-focused approach.
  • The confidence to use your own initiative and take responsibility for tasks.
  • GCSEs in English, Maths, and ICT at Grade 5 or above (or equivalent).
