Position: Logistics and Warehouse Technician

Location: Cramlington

About The Role

We’re looking for a Logistics and Warehouse Technician to join our team in Cramlington. To support the efficient and compliant movement of materials and products throughout the supply chain within a GMP-regulated environment. The role will focus on domestic and international logistics operations through the co-ordination of shipments, including dangerous goods, preparation of import and export documentation, customs administration, and liaison with freight forwarders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including the movement of Dangerous Goods.
  • Prepare and manage import, export and customs documentation, working closely with freight forwarders and relevant partners.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with Dangerous Goods, COSHH, GMP, GDP and applicable licensing requirements.
  • Complete warehouse administration, SAP transactions and inventory management activities accurately and on time.
  • Receive, inspect, store and dispatch raw materials, packaging materials and other goods in line with approved procedures.
  • Offload deliveries, including raw materials and road tankers, in accordance with cGMP and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Operate forklift trucks safely and support the movement of materials around the site.
  • Carry out raw material sampling in line with approved procedures.
  • Maintain accurate stock records through routine cycle counting, annual stocktakes and inventory checks.
  • Manage controlled drug transactions in line with Home Office guidance and company procedures.
  • Ensure active substances are handled, stored and distributed in accordance with Good Distribution Practice.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures, licences and supporting warehouse and logistics documentation.
  • Participate in supplier audits, waste audits and other compliance activities.
  • Provide materials and services to internal departments and external customers efficiently and accurately.
  • Carry out warehouse housekeeping and waste-handling activities to maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
  • Follow relevant risk assessments, manual-handling procedures and COSHH requirements across all warehouse activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Warehouse and Logistics team to support safe, compliant and efficient site operations.

Essential

  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment
  • A FLT (Forklift Licence)
  • Familiar with Dangerous Goods Handling
  • Experienced with Import & Export Customs Procedures
