The Role
As the Logistics Assistant you will be instrumental in managing the smooth shipment of Tangle Teezer’s inbound stock purchase orders and outbound sales orders, in line with priorities set by the Operations and Sales teams. This will involve working closely with our suppliers, 3PL and clients as well as supporting the operational relationship with our main freight partners to maintain a compliant import/export operation.
Responsibilities
- Process shipment bookings for regular and ad hoc global air, road, marine & courier transportation activities
- Raise shipping invoices and supporting documentation such as Certificates of Origin and EUR1 forms
- Work in partnership with forwarders and global distributors to plan multimodal export shipments, including management of end-to-end deliveries
- Arrange collection scheduling for outbound orders, supporting weekly/monthly planning in alignment with 3PL requirements and distributors’ needs
- Work closely with the Production team, vendors and forwarders to plan, process, track and report status of import shipments of inbound UK/US stock
- Ensure Logistics Log is updated with key shipment/cost data to support Logistics Co-ordinator with timely monthly KPI reporting
- Maintain Logistics Admin mailbox, responding to queries on the status of export deliveries and customer non-conformances.
- Support Logistics Manager with the review of internal/external outbound processes and identify improved ways of working
- Raise and check freight/duty Purchase Orders, supporting Finance to complete timely payment of suppliers in alignment with internal processes
- Collaborate with Logistics Coordinator to adapt to changes in international trade, customs and shipping conditions

Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years combined business experience within Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain or Import/Export Administrator roles with exposure to multimodal freight
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to be agile in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and an ability to work well under pressure within the time constraints of the order fulfillment cycle
- A basic understanding of Incoterms and HS codes
- Prior experience in raising/checking shipping documentation, including invoices and Certificates of Origin/EUR1 documentation
- Ability to maintain day-to-day operational relationships with forwarders/suppliers
- Freight benchmarking/quote comparison experience
- Collaborative approach to support wider Logistics team with review of internal/external operational processes with 3PLs and forwarders
- ERP knowledge, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Navision and highly proficient in MS office, allowing for maintenance, analysis and reporting of data
