Warehouse Operative/Logistics Assistant
Monday to Friday | 9am–5pm | 40 hours per week
Salary: £25,000–£27,000 per annum DOE | Location: BN5 9SA
Do you have a keen interest in aviation and aerospace? Are you someone with a positive, attitude who takes pride in getting the job done? We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, can-do Warehouse Operative and Logistics Assistant to join our close-knit team. NB: Due to Health & Safety Regulations, applicants must be aged 18 or over.

Hayward & Green Aviation Ltd is a family-run business established for over 50 years based in Woodmancote, West Sussex. We specialise in sourcing and supplying aircraft parts to airlines, helicopter operators and defence forces all over the world. Our product portfolio ranges from nuts and bolts to wings, engines and complete aircraft. We are an ambitious, friendly, evolving business and are currently investing in our working environment, facilities and people. It’s an exciting time to join the team.
Main Duties
- Organising domestic and international shipping
- Picking parts from our warehouses
- Inspecting and receiving parts into inventory
- Maintaining accurate stock and paperwork records
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working environment
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and quality approvals
- Supporting the wider team as required

What We're Looking For
This is an active role and you will be on your feet throughout the day. You should be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and handling parts. Previous experience in aviation is not necessary, as training will be provided; we do however encourage those interested in aviation or with a passion for aircraft to apply. Most importantly, we need someone reliable, willing to learn and happy to get stuck in.
Experience / Qualifications Required
Essential
- GCSE-level education or equivalent, including passes in Maths and English
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, and Excel, with the ability to learn new systems and processes
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- A positive approach and a willingness to help others
- A clean and valid driving licence. 3+ years preferred, as you may be required to drive locally between our warehouse locations using a company van.

- Aviation stock management experience
- Forklift Licence
- Dangerous Goods qualification
What We Offer
- £25,000–£27,000 salary, depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, 40 hours per week, 45-minute paid lunch break
