Logistics Compliance Manager
For our location in Uxbridge, in the Greater London area, we are looking for a Logistics Compliance Manager. In this role, you will ensure compliant and efficient global logistics, customs, import/export and trade activities in line with international regulations and defence industry requirements. You will lead trade compliance and export control activities while supporting secure international operations, business growth and supply chain resilience.
Your responsibilities
Trade & Export Compliance
- Lead and maintain the organisation's import and export compliance programme.
- Manage export control activities, including licensing, record keeping, military, dual-use and defence-related products and technologies.
- Provide guidance on trade compliance matters, including sanctions, embargoes, restricted party screening, and end-use/end-user requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes, support audits and investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Logistics & Freight Management
- Manage domestic and international freight operations across air, sea and road transportation.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers and transportation providers.
- Ensure compliance with dangerous goods, hazardous materials and secure transportation requirements.
- Develop and drive logistics strategies improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and cost performance.
Defence & Naval Programme Support
- Ensure compliance with defence industry regulations and customer contractual requirements.
- Support defence, naval and government programmes requiring enhanced export control management, NAVSUP and other defence logistics standards.
- Coordinate with customers and regulatory authorities regarding defence-related shipments and export approvals.
Risk Management & Governance
- Identify and mitigate trade compliance and supply chain risks.
- Lead compliance reviews and audits, ensuring effective corrective actions and accurate record keeping.
- Develop trade compliance policies, training programmes, and performance reporting.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the organisation's subject matter expert for trade compliance and logistics governance and provide training and guidance to employees
- Build effective relationships with regulatory authorities, customers, suppliers and logistics providers.

Your qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business or a related discipline
- Significant experience in logistics, import/export compliance or international trade management.
- Strong knowledge of UK customs requirements and international trade compliance regulations.
- Experience managing export licences, customs declarations and compliance audits.
What makes you stand out
- International Trade Compliance or Export Control qualification.
- Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, UK Strategic Export Controls, NATO and MOD requirements.
- Experience supporting NAVSUP, defence procurement and military logistics programmes.
- Strong understanding of UK Export Control legislation, US ITAR/EAR regulations, European Union export controls and Asia-Pacific trade requirements.
