Logistics & Shipping Coordinator
Location: Livingston, West Lothian
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent
Escape Recruitment is working with an established organisation in Livingston to recruit a Logistics Coordinator.
This is a varied position combining logistics coordination, shipping administration, and quality documentation, working closely with internal departments and external transport providers to ensure products are dispatched efficiently and all associated records are accurate and compliant. We are looking for someone who is highly organised, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and has excellent attention to detail.
What will you be doing?
- Coordinating day-to-day shipping, freight, and transport activities.
- Liaising with transport providers to arrange deliveries and shipments.
- Preparing, checking, and maintaining shipping, export, and certification documentation.
- Ensuring shipping activities and documentation comply with relevant customs and export requirements.
- Maintaining accurate operational, production, and quality records.
- Coordinating information between internal departments, external providers, and subcontractors.
- Supporting the effective planning of transport requirements and managing associated costs.
- Updating ERP and internal business systems to ensure information is accurate and accessible.
- Assisting with documentation reviews, inspections, and continuous improvement activities.
- Providing updates on shipping activities and resolving operational issues.

What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping, export administration, supply chain coordination, or a similar role.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and previous experience using ERP systems.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Confidence communicating with transport providers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
- A proactive, flexible approach to problem-solving.

Experience in export documentation, customs compliance, or quality-related administration would be particularly beneficial, although not all are essential.
Additional information
The role requires flexibility to support overtime and occasional weekend working, particularly around month-end operational requirements.
