Last Mile Coordinator – UK

Remote, United Kingdom | Up to £60,000 + Benefits | Permanent

If you are someone who spots problems before they become customer complaints, enjoys working with data, and likes getting into the detail of how deliveries actually move through a network, this could be a strong next step.

We are partnering with a major international e-commerce and consumer brand that is strengthening its last mile operation across Great Britain and is looking to appoint a Last Mile Coordinator.

You will sit at the heart of the day-to-day delivery operation, monitoring carrier performance, resolving exceptions, supporting customers and helping improve how the wider last mile network operates.

This is a hands-on role with genuine exposure to carriers, logistics data, automation, Customer Care and field operations.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the regional Last Mile Lead, you will help manage delivery performance across a network covering parcel, bulky, 2-person and 4-person delivery flows. You will be responsible for identifying delivery issues early, challenging carriers when service drops and making sure complex exceptions are resolved before they have a wider customer impact. You will also play a key role in improving the operation through better reporting, stronger data and increased use of AI and automation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage daily delivery exceptions across parcel and bulky delivery networks.
  • Proactively identify stalled or at-risk shipments before they impact customers.
  • Chase external carrier partners and drive issues through to resolution.
  • Monitor and consolidate carrier performance data.
  • Maintain accurate carrier scorecards and operational reporting.
  • Identify recurring service failures and escalate emerging risks.
  • Audit freight invoices against agreed carrier rate cards.
  • Manage delivery damage claims through to resolution.
  • Maintain accurate logistics and carrier master data.
  • Work directly with Customer Care on complex and escalated delivery cases.
  • Provide clear and actionable updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Use AI agents and workflow automation to reduce repetitive administration.
  • Automate reporting, exception triage and claims processes where possible.
  • Support continuous improvement projects across the last mile network.
  • Participate in depot visits and delivery ride-alongs to understand operations firsthand.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Kind of Person Who Will Do Well

This role will suit someone who naturally asks:

  • Why has this delivery failed?
  • Is this happening repeatedly?
  • What does the data tell us?
  • Can we automate this instead of doing it manually every day?

You do not need to be a data scientist or automation expert, but you should be comfortable working with numbers and genuinely interested in using technology to make an operation run better. There will also be opportunities to get out into the operation through carrier depot visits and delivery ride-alongs, giving you direct exposure to how the network performs in the real world.

What's On Offer

Salary: Up to £60,000
Location: Remote – United Kingdom

Alongside the salary, the wider package includes:

  • 25 days' annual leave.
  • Private healthcare and wellbeing support.
  • Enhanced employer pension contributions.
  • Enhanced sick pay.
  • Flexible working.
  • Employee product discounts.
  • Exposure to an international logistics operation.
  • Significant opportunity to develop within last mile, transport and e-commerce logistics.
  • Hands-on exposure to AI, automation and data-led operational improvement.

This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to build their career within last mile logistics and e-commerce, joining a business where you will have genuine visibility across operations, carriers, customer experience and technology.
