Logistics Coordinator

We're looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our East West Rail team based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. You'll be working on the nationally significant East West Rail programme, which is delivering a new connection between Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge. This position is integral to ensuring that works are planned, controlled, and executed efficiently, supporting the overall project objectives and preparing the programme for future phases of delivery.

Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire

Hours: 45 hrs a week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?

As a Logistics Coordinator, You'll Be Working Within The Construction Delivery Team, Supporting Them In Planning And Coordinating Land Parcel Works From Initial Access Through To Completion And Handover. Your Day To Day Will Include

  • Supporting the integrated planning of land parcels, coordinating across disciplines including environmental surveys, archaeological trenching, utilities and access arrangements
  • Working with Agricultural Liaison Officers to ensure landowner requirements are understood and incorporated into delivery plans
  • Undertaking initial walkovers of land parcels and producing logistics and site plans for mobilisation
  • Ensuring land parcels are operationally ready before work begins, including access, logistics and welfare arrangements, and coordinating demobilisation and welfare relocation after intrusive surveys are completed
  • Supporting performance management by identifying risks, delays and constraints, and assisting with clear reporting on parcel readiness and completion progress

What are we looking for?

This role of Logistics Coordinator is ideal for someone who:

  • Brings strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate resources, schedules and multiple work activities across a busy construction project
  • Excels at building positive relationships with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders, supported by clear and effective communication skills
  • Has a good understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project standards
  • Takes a proactive approach to problem-solving, identifying potential risks early and implementing solutions to keep projects moving forward
  • Maintains a high level of attention to detail, producing accurate records, documentation and logistics plans while consistently delivering quality outcomes
