Logistics Coordinator

An exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join a growing international business, managing customer orders, coordinating shipments and ensuring products are delivered on time across global markets. This role is ideal for a logistics professional with experience in supply chain coordination, freight management and customer-focused order fulfilment.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established international business based in London operating within a highly technical product environment, supplying customers across multiple global markets. With a reputation for quality, innovation and service excellence, they manage complex supply chains and deliver projects to customers worldwide.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a proactive Logistics Coordinator to support the end-to-end movement of products, ensuring customers receive an exceptional service throughout the order and delivery process.

Description

As Logistics Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing customer orders, coordinating international shipments and ensuring products are delivered on time and in full.

Working closely with Operations, Procurement, Sales and external logistics partners, you will oversee order progression from receipt through to final delivery, maintaining clear communication with customers and stakeholders throughout the process.

This role would suit an organised and detail-oriented logistics professional who enjoys managing multiple priorities and taking ownership of supply chain activities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate customer orders from receipt through to successful delivery.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers and logistics providers to arrange domestic and international shipments.
  • Manage shipping documentation, customs paperwork and export requirements.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and proactively resolve any shipping or supply chain issues.
  • Track orders through the supply chain, ensuring customers are regularly updated on progress.
  • Maintain accurate information across ERP, CRM and operational systems.
  • Support inventory planning and procurement activities to ensure product availability.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Produce reports on delivery performance, shipment status and key operational KPIs.
  • Escalate potential delays and provide solutions to minimise customer impact.

Profile

  • Previous experience in a Logistics Coordinator, Supply Chain Coordinator, Shipping Coordinator or Operations Coordinator role.
  • Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments.
  • Good understanding of export documentation, customs processes and Incoterms.
  • Experience using ERP systems for order management and logistics coordination.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with customers, suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, technical products or international distribution environments would be advantageous.

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary of £35,000 - £42,000.
