Roles Overview
The Logistics Coordinator supports the day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring materials and finished goods are received, stored, controlled, and shipped accurately, efficiently, and on time.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking for a career in logistics, inventory, or supply chain. You will work within a cohesive and supportive team to maintain smooth operations, accurate stock records, and compliant shipping processes.
Core Responsibilities
Inventory & Warehousing
- Goods receipt: Assist with receiving incoming materials, checking documentation, and ensuring items are stored correctly.
- Stock control: Support inventory accuracy through regular stock checks, correct transaction processing, and tidy storage areas.
- Packing: Prepare customer orders for shipping with a focus on accuracy and care.
- Picking: Ensure kits for the manufacturing team are picked promptly and in full. Report any stock variance issues to ensure that build teams have the correct labelled components, at the correct time, to reduce the risk of any build issues or delays.
- Materials handling: Move stock safely using appropriate equipment and follow warehouse procedures.

Shipping Operations
- Shipment preparation: Help coordinate domestic and international shipments by road, air, and sea.
- Shipping documentation: Prepare courier bookings, freight forwarder collections, customs paperwork, dangerous goods declarations, and tracking information.
- Carrier communication: Liaise with couriers and freight partners to support collections and resolve basic queries.
Compliance & Governance
- Regulatory compliance: Ensure all logistics activities follow shipping, customs, import/export, and dangerous goods regulations.
- Documentation accuracy: Maintain accurate records in line with company and legal requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Process improvement: Contribute ideas to improve workflows, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
- Cross-functional support: Work with other departments to support smooth operational flow.
- System updates: Assist with new systems or process changes as the business grows.

Qualifications
- Interest in logistics, inventory, warehousing, or supply chain.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of shipping or inventory processes (training provided).
- Comfortable using ERP or inventory systems (or willing to learn).
- Awareness of customs or export processes is helpful but not required.
Person Specification:
- Organised and detail-focused with a tidy, methodical approach.
- Proactive learner who enjoys problem-solving.
- Strong communicator able to work well with colleagues and external partners.
- Hands-on and willing to support operational tasks.
- Reliable and accountable with a positive attitude.
