About The Role

Due to continued business growth, our client, a well-established and respected Freight Forwarder, is looking to recruit an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their busy Birmingham office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a freight forwarding professional with experience managing import, export, and cross trade shipments who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service and working in a fast-paced logistics environment.

What You'll Do

As a Logistics Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing shipments from booking through to final delivery, ensuring a smooth and compliant service for customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage import, export, and cross trade shipments from start to finish
  • Prepare quotations and pricing for customer shipments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, overseas agents, and suppliers
  • Arrange collections, deliveries, and transport solutions
  • Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and compliant with customs regulations
  • Input and maintain shipment data using CargoWise
  • Process supplier invoices and liaise with the accounts department where required
  • Resolve any shipment or transport issues promptly and professionally
  • Provide regular shipment updates and deliver exceptional customer service throughout

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years experience within Freight Forwarding or Logistics
  • Experience handling import, export, and cross trade shipments
  • Good understanding of CDS customs procedures and Incoterms
  • CargoWise experience would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
