Logistics Coordinator

Midea Home Appliances UK is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our growing Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for supporting the efficient flow of products throughout the supply chain, ensuring inventory accuracy, coordinating logistics activities, and delivering a high level of service to both internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Warehousing, Logistics Providers, and Suppliers to ensure products are delivered on time, inventory levels are maintained, and operational performance targets are achieved. Reporting to: Head of Supply Chain

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
  • Coordinate customer order fulfillment activities in partnership with the Sales team.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage daily logistics operations to ensure efficient product movement.
  • Process customer and stock transfer orders accurately within ERP and logistics systems.
  • Track shipments and proactively manage delivery exceptions, delays, and customer queries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock reconciliation activities.
  • Liaise with third-party logistics providers, warehouses, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure service level requirements are met.
  • Monitor supplier and logistics partner performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Support forecasting, replenishment, and demand planning activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve logistics processes, procedures, and operational documentation.
  • Prepare logistics and inventory reports, analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customs regulations, and relevant supply chain procedures.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in a logistics, supply chain, inventory planning, or coordination role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Experience working with ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of freight, warehousing, and distribution processes.
  • Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
  • Understanding of supply chain planning and inventory control principles.
