Jarrold Logistics is growing, and this is an exciting time to join us. As we expand our warehousing and distribution offer, we are looking for someone who enjoys building great customer relationships, spotting commercial opportunities and helping a growing logistics operation deliver an excellent service.

We have an exciting opportunity due to expansion and growth for a Logistics Customer Service & Sales Assistant to play a key role in how we engage, support and grow our customer base.

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Role

This is a dual-focus position combining customer service excellence with commercial awareness and sales support. You will act as a central point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience, while also identifying opportunities to grow revenue and support the wider Logistics strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Act as a first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone, email and systems
  • Manage bookings, queries and service updates in a timely and professional manner
  • Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure accurate and efficient delivery
  • Resolve issues quickly, taking ownership and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication aligned to our “Need to know / Good to know” approach

Sales & Commercial Support

  • Support inbound sales enquiries and convert opportunities into confirmed work
  • Assist in preparing quotes for warehousing, 3PL and courier services
  • Identify upselling opportunities across existing customers
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams to support growth
  • Contribute to achieving revenue targets and improving margin performance

Operational Support

  • Ensure accurate data entry across systems (orders, stock, bookings)
  • Support reporting and tracking of customer activity
  • Help maintain service standards and identify areas for continuous improvement

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong communication skills with a confident and professional approach
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Commercially aware with an interest in sales and customer growth
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership
  • Good IT skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in logistics, customer service or sales is beneficial but not essential
