DP World Launches New Contract Logistics in Topoľčany, Slovakia

DP World, the fast-growing transportation and logistics leader that currently manages more than 10% of world trade, is thrilled to announce a new Contract Logistics launch in Topoľčany, Slovakia!

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Logistics Engineer to optimize and enhance the efficiency of our end-to-end supply chain operations. In this role, you will apply engineering, scientific, and mathematical principles to the distribution of goods and services, ensuring cost-effective, reliable, and efficient logistics processes. You will analyze complex logistics data across forecasting, procurement, manufacturing, inventory, transportation, and warehousing activities to identify improvement opportunities, reduce costs, and support business growth. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will develop innovative solutions, evaluate distribution strategies, and provide recommendations that improve operational performance, service levels, and profitability. Additionally, you will assess resource requirements, including facilities, staffing, safety, and maintenance needs, while supporting and guiding logistics analysis activities across the organization.

Salary Range:

21,553 – 30,790 – 33,946 EUR

Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for process design, material flow, and facility layout optimization, developing efficient operational solutions.
  • Translate business and operational requirements into practical engineering solutions and successfully implement them within live operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost savings across the site. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, and Project Management, to deliver engineering and process improvement projects.
  • Monitor and manage headcount planning, ensuring alignment between workforce requirements and operational needs.
  • Serve as the primary interface with customers and stakeholders on development projects and operational improvements.
  • Ensure all process changes follow established standards, controls, and approval procedures, with thorough testing before implementation.
  • Support the development of engineering strategies, performance metrics, and reporting, contributing to long-term operational excellence.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline (required).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain operations, project management, and headcount planning.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; certification is highly desirable. Experience with MTM SOL is an advantage.
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, and the capability to drive structure and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar software is beneficial.
  • Fluent English and Slovak language skills (mandatory).
