Freight / Logistics Coordinator (Engineering)
Location: Leeds
Contract: 6 months
Salary: £32k - £40k
If you enjoy keeping complex shipments moving smoothly while ensuring nothing gets missed, this is a fantastic opportunity to join Our Client and support global import and export activity from Leeds.
What you'll be doing:
- Coordinate global import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and trade laws
- Work closely with specialist carriers, port operators, and freight forwarders to support shipments
- Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation, including CDS entries, bills of lading, Certificates of Origin (CoO), and packing lists
- Plan and book UK and international transport, optimising routes, loads, and freight costs
- Monitor shipment progress, maintain accurate records, and provide real-time updates to internal teams
- Carry out day-to-day administration, including PO generation, data entry, and email support

What you'll bring:
- Experience in freight coordination, transport planning, or logistics
- Knowledge of out-of-gauge, break bulk, or oversized cargo handling (road, sea, or multimodal)
- Understanding of customs procedures, Incoterms, and international trade compliance
- Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- SAP ERP experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
