Are you an experienced Shipping / Freight / Logistics professional looking for your next opportunity within a fast-paced product environment?

dSb are currently recruiting for a Freight & Logistics Manager to support the efficient operation of the Supply Chain, working closely with the Director and a range of internal and external stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility for inbound freight, shipping, imports, freight forwarders and supplier relationships, negotiating with vessel bookings from Egypt and Vietnam

  • Supporting the planning and management of inbound freight operations
  • Coordinating shipments and working closely with freight forwarders
  • Managing shipping schedules, arrival dates and container bookings
  • Monitoring suppliers and carriers against KPIs
  • Reviewing routing, shipping modes, volumes and carriers to identify efficiencies
  • Resolving transportation, import and supplier issues
  • Ensuring shipping and import documentation is accurate and compliant
  • Negotiating vessel bookings

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous shipping / freight experience within a product/retail environment
  • Working knowledge of import and shipping documentation and INCO terms
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a genuine interest in improving processes
  • Strong Excel and wider MS Office skills

Candidates will need to have full-right to work in the UK and be accessible to Leeds or Hartlepool area.
