About The Role
Are you organised, customer-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for a Logistics Hire Coordinator to join our Asset & Technology Solutions team in Thurnscoe.
Our Asset & Technology Solutions team provides specialist equipment and services that support major infrastructure projects across the UK, including communications technology, drones, machine control, cranes, piling equipment, security systems, modular buildings, and more.
What you'll be doing
- Managing hire, off-hire, breakdown, extension, and exchange requests.
- Coordinating equipment deliveries and collections with suppliers, depots, and customers.
- Raising and processing purchase orders accurately and on time.
- Maintaining hire records and supporting documentation.
- Supporting stock checks and equipment tracking activities.
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and operational teams.
- Maximising utilisation of the internal fleet through effective communication.
- Processing damage claims and failed collections in line with company procedures.
Who we're looking for
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Confident communicator who can build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Experience in logistics, transport, hire desk, fleet coordination, or a similar environment.
- Sales experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Survey and Communications services would be beneficial but not essential.
