About the Role:
The Logistics Lead is responsible for the physical movement of the Series: getting horses, riders, grooms, officials, and equipment to every Event, and making sure everything they need is in place when they arrive.
The role spans two distinct phases. Through the pre-launch period, the emphasis is on designing the logistics model and building the supplier network that will support it. From the 2027 launch onwards, the emphasis shifts to delivering best-in-class logistics across the season and establishing a full-service in-house capability.

This is a detail-driven operational role with accountability for delivery under fixed deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:

Horse transport and customs:
- Plan and deliver horse transport to and from every PJL event, by road and by air, working with the external concierge provider and appointed transport suppliers.
- Ensure customs, import, and export requirements are met in every territory on the calendar, and that veterinary and identification documentation is complete and current.
- Act as the escalation point when shipments, border clearance, or flight schedules are disrupted, and put contingency arrangements in place.
- Supervise three coordinators: responsible for FEI Admin; Travel & Customs; Administrative Support.

Travel and accommodation:
- Work with the external concierge provider to arrange travel and accommodation for riders, owners, grooms, and officials across the season calendar.
- Maintain the season logistics schedule, and give stakeholders clear and timely information on movements, timings, and arrangements.

Venue and stabling logistics:
- Confirm stabling, feed, bedding, water, warm-up, and turnout arrangements at each venue, and identify gaps against PJL requirements.
- Coordinate with venues and operating partners on the technical overlay, equipment, and on-site facilities required for each event.

Suppliers and budget:
- Hold suppliers to scope, cost, and standard, and resolve issues before they affect the event.
- Prepare and maintain the logistics budget, track spend against it, and flag variances early.

Events:
- Act as the PJL logistics point person on site, overseeing arrivals, departures, and on-site movement across the event weekend.
- Contribute to post-event summaries, and feed logistics learnings into the next event.
Skills and Experience:
Required:
- A demonstrable track record of delivering logistics for complex live events across multiple countries.
- Experience managing transport, freight, and accommodation suppliers, including holding them to contractual scope and cost.
- Exceptional attention to detail, and the composure to solve problems at pace when plans change.
- Strong commercial literacy: comfortable with budgets, quotes, and cost control.
- Willingness to travel, including across event weekends.
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of FEI transport, biosecurity, and horse welfare requirements.
- Experience of building a logistics function from a standing start.
