Role: Logistics Manager

Location: West London
Type: Full-time | Permanent | On-site
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (Negotiable DOE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Manager to join a fast-growing consumer goods business operating across both wholesale and direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring products are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with customer expectations across domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

D2C & E-commerce Operations

  • Own end-to-end D2C fulfilment across e-commerce and online marketplace channels.
  • Ensure marketplace compliance and fulfilment readiness across multiple sales platforms.
  • Develop scalable fulfilment processes that support business growth.
  • Lead peak season planning, ensuring operational readiness during high-volume trading periods.
  • Drive improvements in delivery performance, fulfilment accuracy, and cost-per-order metrics.

Carrier & Logistics Management

  • Manage relationships with domestic and international courier, carrier, and freight forwarding partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements to optimise cost and performance.

Fulfilment & Distribution

  • Oversee daily fulfilment and dispatch operations to ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time.
  • Monitor order volumes and operational capacity to support growing customer demand.
  • Identify and resolve fulfilment bottlenecks to maintain operational efficiency.

International Shipping & Trade Compliance

  • Manage export documentation, customs requirements, and international shipping processes.
  • Proactively manage customs delays, clearance issues, and international logistics risks.
  • Work with distribution and logistics partners to maintain smooth cross-border operations.

Strategic Logistics Development

  • Support the evaluation and onboarding of new logistics and fulfilment partners.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to improve inventory flow and distribution efficiency.
  • Drive initiatives across packaging, labelling, shipping methods, and cost optimisation.
  • Support logistics planning for product launches, promotional campaigns, and peak trading periods.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven logistics management experience within FMCG, consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce environments.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping operations.
  • Experience managing D2C fulfilment, wholesale distribution, and marketplace logistics.
  • Understanding of customs procedures, export documentation, and international trade compliance.
  • Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, shipping platforms, and e-commerce technologies.
  • Commercially minded with strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
