Logistics Manager | Consumer Products | Cheshire | £45k* + benefits
5 days per week on site (Monday - Friday) 35 hour working week
A fast-growing, entrepreneurial business is looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to take ownership of its logistics, warehouse and inventory operation.
With ambitious plans for further growth in the UK and internationally, this is a great opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage and have a genuine impact on how the operation develops.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the flow of products from international suppliers through to the warehouse and ultimately to customers, overseeing logistics, freight, stock, fulfilment and warehouse operations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing international inbound freight, particularly from Asia/Far East.
- Managing freight forwarders, suppliers and 3PL/fulfilment partners.
- Leading the day-to-day warehouse operation and team.
- Improving stock accuracy, inventory control and operational visibility.
- Managing warehouse capacity, layouts, productivity and resource planning.
- Introducing and improving KPIs around service, capacity, throughput and lead times.
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting.
- Supporting decisions around future warehouse capacity and potential 3PL solutions.
- Managing operational issues, delays and exceptions through to resolution.
- Working closely with the senior leadership team to support continued growth.

About You
We're looking for someone with a strong background in logistics, warehouse, operations or supply chain, ideally within a product-led environment.
You'll need:
- Proven experience managing logistics and/or warehouse operations.
- Strong international freight and import experience.
- Experience leading teams and external suppliers.
- Good understanding of stock and inventory management.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Experience improving processes, systems and operational performance.
- The confidence to work in a fast-paced SME where you'll have plenty of scope to make your mark.
