The Opportunity
We are looking for an ambitious, people-focused transport Logistics Manager to take ownership of our Faversham transport operation and help us deliver outstanding results.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced transport leader who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG distribution environment, knows how to bring the best out of their people and has the vision to turn operational challenges into opportunities.
We are looking for a leader who doesn’t just manage performance, they inspire it!
What You'll Be Doing
Reporting into the General Manager, you will lead, motivate and empower Transport Operations Managers and their teams to reach their full potential. Build an inclusive culture where colleagues feel valued and heard, develop future leaders through coaching and mentoring, and ensure clear communication across the operation.
You will champion safety initiatives and maintain a safe, supportive working environment for all colleagues and subcontractor partners. Ensure compliance with Operator License requirements, drivers’ hours and vehicle roadworthiness, investigate breaches, improve safety performance and promote safe, fuel-efficient driving.
You will drive transport performance, KPIs, service delivery and cost efficiency through effective resource planning, shift management and peak preparation. Work closely with customer service managers and M&S or Franchise stores to resolve issues, exceed customer expectations and deliver continuous improvement through data, transport systems and forward planning.

What We're Looking For
To be successful in your application, you will be someone who combines strong operational knowledge with outstanding strategic leadership, you will ideally have:
- Proven experience managing a large transport operation ideally within FMCG or cold chain operation.
- A strong track record in transport management and leading a team of managers.
- A valid Transport Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Excellent people management skills, with a passion for coaching and developing managerial teams.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn performance data into meaningful action.
- Knowledge of transport management systems and operational planning.
- A sound understanding of transport legislation, compliance and Operator License requirements.
- The confidence to engage with Trade Unions; previous experience would be an advantage, not essential.
- A flexible, agile and proactive approach and the ability to adapt in a fast-moving operational environment.

- Salary: Competitive Salary & Package
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
