POSITION OVERVIEW
If you have great wholesale, retail and D2C experience in the FMCG consumer goods sector, then this role will be perfect for you. As a Logistics Manager, you will take ownership of Fushi's courier, shipping and retail distribution operations, ensuring that products are dispatched efficiently, cost-effectively and in line with our quality and compliance standards. You will manage key partnerships with domestic and international carriers, lead export documentation processes and ensure that our customers – whether individual, retail or wholesale – receive their orders on time and in full.
This role requires a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and balances a meticulous eye for compliance with strategic thinking. You will work closely with operations, customer service, warehouse and marketing teams, playing a critical role in upholding our delivery promise across global markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carriers & Couriers
- Main point of contact for Royal Mail, DPD, UPS, DHL and freight partners
- Negotiate contracts and keep SLAs on track
- Resolve performance issues and disputes as they arise
Fulfilment & Dispatch
- Keep orders flowing smoothly from warehouse to courier
- Hit same day dispatch targets
- Produce accurate shipping paperwork
- Flag bottlenecks before they become problems
- Work with Production to arrange on demand runs when needed

International Shipping & Compliance
- Manage customs declarations, HS codes and TRACES certification for organic products
- Ensure shipments meet destination specific rules (EU, UAE and beyond)
- Meet Amazon's global marketplace requirements
- Main contact for our EU distributor in the Netherlands
- Liaise with partners including DSV and TPN
Returns, Claims & Reporting
- Chase up lost, delayed or damaged parcels
- Manage courier claims through to reimbursement
- Produce weekly reporting on logistics KPIs and courier performance
Strategic Projects
- Scope out new fulfilment partners as we grow globally
- Work with Ops and Supply Chain on Amazon restocks
- Trial improvements to packaging and delivery
- Team up with Marketing on launches and campaigns
D2C Fulfilment
- Own fulfilment end to end across Shopify and marketplace channels
- Keep WMS and ShipStation workflows sharp
- Build peak trading plans for Black Friday and Christmas
- Drive down cost per order while maintaining delivery speed
- Keep packaging material on brand
UK Retail & Wholesale Compliance
- Manage pallet labelling and GS1 barcoding to retailer spec
- Build compliance checklists per account
- Work with UK pallet networks
- Key contact for retail partners' supply chain teams
- Help keep OTIF high and compliance fines low
- Manage palletisation, load security and DC booking-in (portal slots, ASN) and choosing the right pallet network
KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- In-depth knowledge of e-commerce shipping logistics – domestic and international.
- Hands-on experience of D2C fulfilment models, including WMS platforms and marketplace fulfilment programmes.
- Hands-on experience of UK pallet networks and how they operate
- Must be a true team player – willing to pitch in across the wider Operations function wherever the business needs support.
- Calm, pragmatic thinker with excellent problem-solving ability.
- Commercially astute – able to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills – particularly with external suppliers.
- High attention to detail – especially around documentation, compliance and service standards.
- Collaborative – thrives in cross-functional environments with shared accountability.
- Confident working across our core systems – Odoo (or experience in any other ERP), ShipStation, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central and TikTok Shop.
- Very good working knowledge of Excel and the wider MS Office suite.
- Strong working knowledge of UK grocery and wholesale retail logistics standards – GS1 barcoding/GTIN application, pallet labelling (SSCC), palletisation specifications and DC booking-in processes across major retailers.

PERFORMANCE METRICS (KPIS)
- First Attempt Delivery Success Rate (%) – successful deliveries on first attempt.
- Average Shipping Cost per Order – broken down by region (domestic vs international).
- Late Shipment Rate (%) – orders dispatched past SLA.
- Claim Resolution Time – average days to resolve delivery or damage claims.
- Export Error Rate – frequency of failed customs entries due to documentation issues.
