Logistics Manager

We're looking for a Logistics Manager to join our East West Rail team based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. You'll be working on the East West Rail programme, a nationally significant rail infrastructure project delivering new connections between Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge. This position is integral to ensuring that works are planned, controlled, and executed efficiently, supporting overall project objectives.

Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire – site based 5 days per week

Hours: Permanent Fulltime 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

About the Role

The Logistics Manager will play a key role within the construction delivery team, supporting the planning, delivery and mobilisation of a multi-disciplined worksite within a complex environment.

Responsibilities

As a Logistics Manager, You'll Be Working Within The Construction Delivery Team, Supporting Them In Planning And Coordinating Land Parcels From Initial Access Through To Completion And Handover. Your Day To Day Will Include

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive logistics plans for land parcels, including site establishment, resource coordination and access arrangements
  • Managing equipment and resource procurement, including plant machinery, welfare facilities, and site infrastructure
  • Coordinating across multiple disciplines including environmental surveys, archaeological trenching, utilities and delivery teams
  • Working alongside Agricultural Liaison Officers to ensure landowner requirements are understood and incorporated into delivery plans
  • Supporting site readiness reviews and ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety and environmental compliance requirements

Requirements

This role of Logistics Manager is ideal for someone who:

  • Brings proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, and construction project coordination
  • Has strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and keep projects moving efficiently
  • Builds effective relationships with stakeholders, landowners, subcontractors, and external partners, communicating confidently at all levels
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements, with the confidence to champion and maintain high standards across site operations
  • Is proficient in logistics management systems and Microsoft Office applications, using strong problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and drive continuous improvement
