Logistics Manager – Food Manufacturing
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Manager to join a well-established food manufacturing business based near Stoke-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced logistics professional looking for a Monday-to-Friday, days-based role with a stable and growing business.
The Role
As Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day logistics operation, ensuring the smooth movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods across the site. You'll work closely with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams to ensure deliveries are planned effectively, stock is managed accurately, and customer requirements are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day logistics and transport operations
- Leading and developing the logistics/warehouse team
- Planning deliveries and collections
- Managing relationships with hauliers and transport providers
- Overseeing goods-in and goods-out operations
- Ensuring stock accuracy and effective inventory management
- Monitoring logistics performance and KPIs
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and food safety standards
- Working closely with other departments to ensure production and customer requirements are met
We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with candidates who have previous experience in a Logistics Manager, Transport Manager, Warehouse Manager, or similar position, ideally within food manufacturing, FMCG, or a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
