Role Description
The Logistics Managing Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Doncaster, responsible for overseeing end-to-end logistics operations and setting the strategic direction for the business. This role will lead senior operational teams, ensure efficient warehouse and transport performance, and drive continuous improvement in service quality, cost control, and capacity utilisation. The Managing Director will develop and implement commercial growth strategies, build and maintain key customer relationships, and support the acquisition and retention of major contracts.

- Reviewing performance metrics

- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to optimise fulfilment solutions
The role will also focus on:
- Cultivating a high-performance culture
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Representing the business in senior-level negotiations and industry forums
Qualifications
- Proven senior leadership experience in logistics, supply chain, or 3PL operations, with responsibility for multi-site or large-scale warehousing and transport.
- Strong strategic and commercial skills, including developing growth plans, managing P&L, and driving contract acquisition and retention.
- Demonstrated ability to optimise warehouse utilisation, capacity planning, and operational efficiency within fast-paced logistics environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience building long-term relationships with blue-chip clients and strategic partners.
- Track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, promoting a safety-focused, inclusive, and results-driven culture.
- Solid understanding of UK and international logistics regulations, service-level agreements, and best practices in e-fulfilment and 3PL operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Comfort with data-driven decision-making, including use of KPIs, dashboards, and operational reports to guide strategy and performance improvements.
