Role Description
The Logistics Managing Director role is a full-time, on-site position based in Guildford, leading the logistics growth and operations arm of REM Associates Ltd. The individual in this role will set and execute logistics and e-fulfilment strategy, oversee relationships with 3PL providers and brand partners, and ensure that capacity utilisation, contract acquisition, and operational performance targets are met.

- Directing warehouse and fulfilment optimisation projects
- Reviewing performance data and KPIs
- Making decisions that enhance efficiency and commercial outcomes
- Leading senior teams

- Representing the business in high-level negotiations
The Logistics Managing Director will collaborate closely with executive search and commercial teams to align operational capabilities with client needs and growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience in logistics, supply chain, or 3PL management, including responsibility for multi-site operations or large-scale fulfilment networks.
- Proven ability to develop and execute logistics and e-fulfilment strategies that improve warehouse utilisation, capacity management, and contract performance.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with experience winning new business, managing key accounts, and building long-term partnerships with brands and 3PL providers.
- Expertise in operational excellence, including process improvement, KPI design and tracking, cost optimisation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Solid understanding of UK and international logistics markets, including trends in e-commerce fulfilment, 3PL services, and supply chain technology.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at C-suite level and influence strategic decisions.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with a collaborative, inclusive management style and a focus on accountability and results.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications (e.g., MBA or professional logistics certifications) are an advantage.
