Logistics Operator - West Wales - up to £40k
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Operator to join an exciting defence organisation in a critical period of growth. This is a hands-on role where you'll ensure materials, components, and finished products move efficiently throughout the operation, supporting manufacturing, engineering, and flight-test teams in a fast-paced, high-technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and book in deliveries using the ERP system.
- Store, pick, and issue materials to support production.
- Prepare production kits and replenish line-side stock.
- Carry out stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Support flight-test and servicing teams by issuing parts, tooling, and consumables.
- Pick, pack, and dispatch customer and inter-site shipments, producing shipping documentation where required.
- Operate material handling equipment safely while maintaining high housekeeping standards.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and inventory control procedures.

About You
You'll have experience within a logistics, warehouse, stores, or goods-in environment, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, or defence.
You'll also have:
- Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach.
- The ability to maintain accurate stock records in a fast-paced environment.
- Eligibility to obtain UK SC Security Clearance (BPSS required from day one).

Desirable
- Forklift licence.
- ADR/IATA Dangerous Goods certification.
- Experience handling ESD-sensitive or controlled stock.
- Aerospace, defence, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of 5S or Lean working practices.
