Operations Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead our brand-new facility in the heart of the West Midlands. The role is responsible for operational performance, health & safety, quality compliance, cost control, continuous improvement, and creating a positive high-performance culture.

36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday to be agreed with line manager. Flexible hours required to support engagement with night shift operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead warehouse, inventory, pick & pack, and dispatch operations.
- Deliver customer OTIF performance and order accuracy.
- Manage labour planning and resource utilisation.
- Drive productivity, throughput, and process improvements.
- Lead Health & Safety compliance, audits, risk assessments, and investigations.
- Think with an open mindset to problem-solve, remove risk to product integrity, and remove operational risk.
- Control budgets, labour costs, and operational expenditure.
- Develop supervisors and warehouse teams through coaching and performance management.
- Challenge efficiencies and inconsistencies.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and effective stock control.

The Successful Candidate’s Profile
Skills and Experience:
- Proven warehouse or logistics operations management experience.
- Strong Health & Safety background (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable).
- Experience within quality-controlled environments.
- Strong understanding of WMS systems and KPI management.
- Experience leading teams in fast-paced operational environments.
- Budget and cost management experience.
- Continuous improvement experience.
- People Leadership.

- Teamwork: Ability to work well as part of a team. Friendly, approachable, and cooperative.
- Flexibility: Responds effectively to changing circumstances. Adjusts tasks and priorities when required.
- Customer Service: Good understanding of customer deliverables and the need for strong quality. Ability to work to essential quality standards.
- Organisation: Ability to plan and organise work. Ability to work on one's own initiative, with minimum supervision.
- Health & Safety: Understanding of health and safety requirements.
