Location: Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 3LX Salary: Competitive plus excellent benefits Schedule: Full-time (37 hours)

As a Logistics Operative in our RAF Brize Norton team, you’ll support critical operations by ensuring materials and equipment are always in the right place at the right time. Your role is hands-on and purpose-driven—helping keep essential logistics moving for the Royal Air Force and supporting operations that safeguard communities.
Working alongside Serco colleagues and RAF personnel, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that delivers impact every day.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be trusted with:
- Managing receipt, storage, and distribution of stock to both internal teams and external contractors
- Performing storekeeping duties, including stock control and inventory management
- Operating material handling equipment, such as counterbalance forklifts (training provided if needed)
- Supporting general warehouse duties, including housekeeping and maintaining safe working environments
- Delivering materials across the site as required by operational needs
- Supporting operations across both warehouse and office environments

Requirements
This role suits someone who can thrive with the following:
- A full UK Category C1 driving licence
- Experience in a logistics or supply chain environment
- A team-focused mindset and commitment to excellent customer service
- Basic IT skills with the willingness to adapt to new systems
- Ability to complete mandatory training and meet operational flexibility demands
This position requires:
- Passing the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including identity verification, employment history, nationality, and criminal record screening
- Obtaining a formal Security Clearance (SC), involving additional background checks on employment, criminal, and financial records (UK residency requirements may apply)
- Completing an Occupational Health Questionnaire for workplace suitability assessments
