Be part of a growing team as part of the exciting £179m expansion going on at our Taw Valley site in Devon.
Our Taw Valley Creamery was established in 1974, and it has been a significant site for cheese production in the UK. It has undergone various developments and expansions over the years to improve its capacity and capabilities in cheese making. We process approximately 1.2 million litres of milk daily; producing over 100+ tonnes of award-winning cheeses, such as BOB, Castello Tickler, alongside butter and whey powder.
How you will make an impact
As a Logistics Operator you will become a multi skilled operator working within a high-performance team, supporting daily operations to meet short and long-term site goals. You will be reporting into the Logistics Team Leader and working 4 on 4 off (days & night shift pattern) on a 12-hour shift.
As a Logistics Operator you will complete all warehouse functions including order picking/dispatching (both internal and external), physical inventory, loading and housekeeping duties. Unloading of pallets, inbound packaging, chemicals following site guidelines.

- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Operating counterbalance/reach forklift trucks
- Completion of loading/delivery paperwork on SAP
- Putaway of inbound deliveries
- Operate the Block Master (boxing and labelling)
Actively contribute to maintaining a healthy and safe working environment, following all safety protocols, and identifying potential hazards. Drive H&S by raising/closing LIAs and ensuring all colleagues work to SOPs.
Execute and maintain rigorous hygiene protocols associated with food processing, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
What will make you successful
Experience in a similar position is preferred, although full training will be provided. We’re looking for someone who can support the wider team and confidently make decisions to protect quality and food safety. You’ll be self-motivated, take accountability for your own tasks and be able to work in an organised and methodical manner, following company procedures. The ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines is also essential.
