Location: Buxton, Derbyshire
Position Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £34,231 per annum (Inclusive of shift allowance)
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)

We have the perfect entry-level position for aspiring logistics professionals.

We are looking for Logistics Operators to join our dedicated logistics department at our Nestlé Waters & Premium Beverages site in Buxton, Derbyshire.

Your Impact

As a Logistics Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods within our logistics operations. Your primary responsibility will be to support the flow of materials and products through various processes, contributing to the overall success of our supply chain. You will be expected to uphold safety and quality standards while demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure high safety standards are adhered to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Operational Efficiency: Follow inbound and outbound schedules by retrieving, marshalling, and loading pallets according to defined procedures.
  • Material Handling: Load or unload trailers by operating suitable material handling equipment through loading docks or bays.
  • Support for Production: Assist with factory activities to achieve key performance indicators, such as delivering packaging materials to the production line in a timely manner.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high quality and good manufacturing practices are met by effectively carrying out the daily cleaning plan as per defined procedures.

Your ingredients for success

We welcome individuals with a passion for logistics and a willingness to learn and grow in an automated warehouse. No prior experience is required, making this role ideal for those eager to develop their skills within warehousing and logistics.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Teamwork and Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with colleagues and support overall operational goals.
  • Safety Standards Experience: Experience working towards safety standards is important to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Performance Target Achievement: The ability to work towards performance targets and contribute to the efficiency of logistics operations is essential for success in this role.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are crucial for maintaining high standards in logistics operations.
  • Qualifications & Training: Ability to operate all required material handling equipment, including Forklift Trucks (e.g., Reach Truck, Counterbalance, T20). If no license is held, in-house training will be provided. A relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain, or a similar subject is desirable but not essential.
