Kemexon Belgium is an international trading and distribution company specialising in the energy sector. With an international presence and a strong focus on physical commodity flows, we connect producers, suppliers and customers across global markets. Our logistics team coordinates between factories, carriers, forwarders, brokers and customers across container logistics and bulk cargo operations.
What you'll do
Operations coordination
- Support the day-to-day coordination and follow-up of container and bulk shipments.
- Track shipments through their key milestones and keep the team informed of anything that moves off plan.
- Prepare and circulate the operational updates the commercial team and customers rely on.
Operational problem solving
- Support the team in resolving operational issues and delays, and follow up on outstanding actions.
- Anticipate risks on running files and flag them early rather than reporting them late.
Working across teams
- Work closely with the Operations and Commercial teams to ensure that agreed deals are handled and executed in line with customer requirements and expectations.
- Act as a reliable point of contact for partners, carriers and customers on your files.

Invoicing and documentation
- Handle and follow up on invoices from partners and invoices to customers, ensuring supporting documentation is accurate and complete.
- Check documents against what was agreed, and chase what is missing before it becomes a problem.
- Help reconcile the costs of a file once it closes, so that every shipment can be settled cleanly.
Systems and records
- Maintain and update CTRM records so that operational and financial data stay reliable.
- Contribute to improving how we structure and document our operational follow-up.
- Take part in the ongoing work to move manual tracking into our systems.
Growing into the role
- Support the senior team member in daily operational and administrative tasks.
- Gradually take on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience develop.

- Interest in physical commodity flows, shipping and international trade.
- Pragmatic way of working.
- Willing to learn from an experienced colleague.
- Professional proficiency in English (Dutch/French/Spanish/Portuguese is a plus)

Your background
- A bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, international trade, business or a related field.
- First experience in logistics, forwarding, shipping or operations but this role is open to junior profiles.
- Comfortable working with Excel and with an ERP or business system.
- Able to work with several counterparts in parallel in an international environment.
Not a requirement, but a plus
- Exposure to Odoo, a CTRM or another ERP in an operational role.
- Familiarity with incoterms, transport documents or customs procedures.
- Experience with maritime shipments, container or bulk.
- A first experience in a customer-facing or coordination role, in any sector.
- Interest in commodity markets
