WHAT TO EXPECT DAY TO DAY

The Logistics Operator is responsible for preparing orders for delivery, ensuring products are packed securely, and maintaining the smooth flow of goods from warehouse to customer. This includes processing and checking shipments, labelling packages, ensuring accurate documentation, and meeting deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES / WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Accurately pick, pack, and label products for both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure that all orders are completed on time to meet customer expectations.
  • Prepare and load products for delivery.
  • Ensure all stock is correctly stored and easy to retrieve.
  • Perform regular stock checks to confirm that inventory levels are accurate.
  • Assist with stock replenishment and rotation.
  • Inspect products for any damage or defects during picking and receiving processes.
  • Ensure that orders are completed accurately with no discrepancies.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to order mistakes or damaged goods.
  • Accurately prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other relevant documentation.
  • Coordinate with couriers or drivers to ensure timely collection and delivery of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of all despatch activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely.
  • Ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Ensure all material shortages or discrepancies are recorded and escalated appropriately.
  • Ensure goods are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all goods received from suppliers are damage free, and comply with the supporting paperwork.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Experience: Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or retail roles is an advantage but not essential.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in order picking, packing, and documentation.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple orders and prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
