We are looking for a Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) Manager
To handle the implementation, related systems, compliance, audits, and action outcomes for our distribution facility in Piscataway, NJ. If you are passionate about quality and protecting the health and safety of people and products, consider joining Kuehne+Nagel.
How you create impact
- Be the subject matter expert for quality and safety matters
- Conduct investigations and take the lead in root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Coordinate and implement related standards and procedures
- Train staff and supervisors on accident and injury prevention, product and process safety, and excellent work practices; provide associates with in-the-moment training when opportunities are noticed
- Support leadership and Human Resources to ensure DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs are embraced and valued
- Maintain employee awareness and compliance with QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health, & Environment)
- Monitor and advise on product quality matters
- Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures; identify and assist with implementing improvements
- Assess and prevent health and safety hazards and implement proper corrective actions
- Track and validate approved suppliers list through our supplier management tools

What we would like you to bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of experience in a position focusing on Quality, Safety and Health, and Environmental in a warehousing or distribution environment

How You Create Impact
- Accurately process bookings from clients and overseas agents in the system
- Support Freight Account Managers with day-to-day operational activities
- Coordinate with all relevant parties to ensure smooth shipment movements
- Proactively manage and resolve any shipment issues, keeping stakeholders informed
- Process sales and purchase invoices efficiently and accurately
- Contribute to a positive team culture and collaborate across departments
- Assist other teams when needed to maintain service quality and efficiency
- Follow all quality, security, and health & safety standards to ensure compliance and best practice

What We Would Like You To Bring
- Secondary school education (or equivalent) with strong Maths and English skills
- Previous experience in customer service
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach with drive and commitment
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative attitude
