Logistics Specialist
Location: Newbury – Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite
Contract: 3-month rolling contract
Rate: £400 per day, outside IR35
Start: ASAP
Overview
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to support network deployment programmes, managing the movement, availability and control of equipment from suppliers through to warehouses and deployment sites.
You will work closely with deployment teams, warehouses, suppliers, RAN vendors and delivery partners to make sure equipment is available when required, stock levels are controlled and logistics issues are resolved quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Logistics Manager with day-to-day logistics and warehouse management.
- Forecast equipment and stock requirements with deployment teams.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries between suppliers, warehouses, sites and partners.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure equipment is available when needed.
- Track stock costs and minimise unnecessary stock, write-offs and waste.
- Manage equipment returns, faulty equipment, decommissioned kit and disposal.
- Work with suppliers and partners to resolve delivery and equipment issues.
- Manage "hospital" or replacement equipment where required.
- Provide regular reports on stock, deliveries, costs, risks and issues.
- Ensure logistics processes are followed and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support budget forecasting and tracking for equipment.
- Ensure partner equipment call-offs are accurate and delivered within agreed SLAs.

Experience Required
- Experience working in a logistics role within a fast-paced technical or telecoms environment.
- Good understanding of the end-to-end logistics process, including:
- Forecasting
- Equipment ordering/call-offs
- Delivery
- Warehouse and stock management
- Reverse logistics
- Returns and faulty equipment
- Reporting
- Experience working with suppliers, contractors, warehouses and delivery partners.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Good financial awareness, particularly around stock and equipment costs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and partners.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within telecoms/network deployment would be highly beneficial, particularly exposure to network rollout, RAN, acquisition, design, build or transmission.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecoms logistics, network deployment or technical supply chain, with hands-on experience managing equipment, stock and suppliers across large-scale deployment programmes.
