Stock Controller
We are seeking a highly organised, detail-focused Stock Controller to manage inventory across the gallery and storage locations.
You will maintain accurate records; track works and materials; coordinate inbound and outbound shipments; and ensure every piece is correctly recorded, stored, monitored, condition-checked and in mint condition, ready for dispatch.
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all pieces, finished and in progress, at on and off-site storage locations.
- Manage stock movements between makers, warehouses, galleries, fairs and exhibitions.
- Ensure best practice handling of the works.
- Coordinate incoming goods inspections and quality checks.
- Conduct regular stock reconciliations and inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Ensure all items are correctly labelled, photographed and recorded.
- Ensure all dispatches and deliveries are tracked and recorded.
- Update internal systems with inventory changes.

Fairs and Exhibitions
- Support preparations for exhibitions, fairs and installations.
- Organise external art handlers for installations, UK and abroad.
- Ensure all stock is ready and in good condition when loading transport for external fairs.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Negative costings and budget control
- Strong Excel and inventory system experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Methodical and process-driven approach.
Desirable
- Knowledge of inventory management software.
- Experience working with high-value or unique objects.
- Passion for developing and improving the optimisation of inventory management software.
