Logistics Supervisor – Data Centre Construction
Location: Blyth, UK
Salary: £65,000–£75,000 per annum
Sector: Data Centre / Mission-Critical Construction
We’re looking for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join a growing team delivering large-scale data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects in Blyth.
This is a site-based role where you’ll oversee day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring materials, deliveries, storage areas and site personnel are coordinated safely and efficiently. Working closely with subcontractors, suppliers and site management teams, you’ll play a key role in keeping the project organised, minimising disruption and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the site compound, including storage areas and material allocation.
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries to ensure materials arrive safely and on time.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers regarding delivery requirements, access arrangements and off-site storage.
- Attend pre-start meetings to communicate site logistics procedures, storage limitations and delivery booking processes.
- Promote a just-in-time delivery approach to minimise congestion and maximise available storage space.
- Ensure loading and unloading activities are carried out safely within designated areas.
- Prevent congestion and obstructions on site access roads.
- Supervise site operatives, ensuring health and safety procedures and expected working standards are maintained.
- Monitor labour allocation, maintain records and prepare work reports.
- Support the wider project team in maintaining an organised and efficient site operation.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a logistics or site supervision role, ideally within construction.
- A minimum of one year’s experience in a similar position.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing operatives or site teams.
- Practical knowledge of delivery coordination, material handling, storage management and subcontractor liaison.
- A good understanding of construction site health and safety requirements.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A third-level qualification in engineering or construction would be advantageous, although a strong trades background will also be considered.
