Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to lead and coordinate logistics operations across our warehouse and distribution functions. Reporting to the Department Manager, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of all warehouse activities while driving performance against key business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for a people-focused leader who is passionate about operational excellence, continuous improvement, and developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support warehouse teams, providing clear direction and guidance on a daily basis.
  • Manage and develop Team Leaders, supporting performance management and employee relations matters.
  • Drive operational performance against departmental KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure the highest standards of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance, including risk assessments and investigations.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet operational and business requirements.
  • Maintain quality standards, SOPs, work instructions, and skills matrices across logistics operations.
  • Produce daily operational reports and complete associated administrative activities.
  • Analyse operational data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Planning, Production, Customer Service, Quality, and other support functions.
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement projects and warehouse development programmes.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Your Experience

  • Proven experience leading and motivating teams within a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make effective operational decisions.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of business priorities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good understanding of Environment, Health and Safety requirements within a logistics setting.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or 5S is desirable.
  • Project participation or implementation experience would be beneficial.
