Logistics Supervisor
As the Logistics Supervisor you will play a key role in leading and supporting the Key Accounts Team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our strategic customers across the life sciences sector. Acting as a central point of coordination between customers, logistics teams, and internal stakeholders, you will help drive strong customer relationships, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the customer logistics function.
You will oversee the day to day performance of the team, using business metrics and KPIs to monitor service levels, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the successful delivery of customer shipments. This role will also involve mentoring and developing Key Accounts and Logistics Specialists, implementing corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs), and promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
In addition, you will act as the local Product Owner for Biocair’s operational systems, including the Biocair Connect customer portal, working closely with the IT Business Partner to prioritise system enhancements and improve the user experience for both customers and internal teams. You will also serve as the local Data Owner for customer information within our transportation management system, iCair, ensuring high standards of data integrity, accuracy, and best practice across the team.

Key Skills and Experience
- Experience leading Customer Care Teams
- Experience using data to drive process and personnel improvements
- Proven track record of providing excellent customer service in a customer facing role
- Experience in Pharmaceutical or Life Science Industry is desirable
- Confident using MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Key Accounts team ensuring operational activities and customer shipments are managed effectively and in line with company standards.
- Monitor team workload and performance, using KPIs and operational metrics to drive efficiency, continuous improvement, and high levels of customer service.
- Conduct regular team meetings, 1:1's, coaching sessions, and quarterly performance reviews to support employee development and career growth.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and key account leads to streamline shipment processes, reduce non-conformances, and improve operational efficiency.
- Act as an escalation point for shipment deviations and complex customer issues, providing guidance and support on high priority shipments when required.
- Investigate non conformance reports, perform root cause analysis, and implement Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) to improve service quality and compliance.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within Biocair’s transportation management systems, maintaining high standards of customer and shipment information.
- Support compliance with global SOPs, security procedures, and regulatory requirements, while contributing to strategic projects, system improvements and cross functional collaboration.

- Between £38,000 and £42,000 per annum, depending on experience

This is a full-time role 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern of 07:00-15:30 / 08:30-17:00 / 09:30-18:00 based fully onsite at our Cambridge office (CB22 3EG)
