The role

As a Logistics Support Operator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a vital role in supporting military training activities by ensuring the right equipment, resources and stores are available when needed. Working in a dynamic defence environment, you'll help deliver Combat Engineering Support services that directly contribute to the development and readiness of Armed Forces personnel.

This is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility and the opportunity to make a real difference every day. Whether you're managing equipment, supporting training exercises, maintaining stores or assisting with specialist engineering activities, your work will help ensure training operations run safely and effectively. It's an excellent opportunity to build valuable logistics, stores, operational support and engineering skills within a respected FTSE 100 organisation committed to investing in its people.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to

  • Support the delivery of Combat Engineering Support services, including transporting, erecting and dismantling equipment for training activities.
  • Issue and receive equipment, maintain stock levels and ensuring stores are managed effectively.
  • Carry out equipment maintenance activities in accordance with Army Equipment Support Publications.
  • Respond to customer queries in a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner.
  • Support audits, inspections, resource management activities and operational requirements across the site.

This role is full time and based at Minley. Set working times are Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 4:30pm and Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. Additional hours are available as overtime in line with business requirements.

Essential experience of the Logistics Support Operator

  • Experience of manual handling in a practical working environment.
  • Ability to swim and work safely in a physically active role.
  • Experience working within logistics, stores, warehouse, operational support or similar environments is beneficial.

Qualifications for the Logistics Support Operator

Essential

  • Full UK driving licence

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
