At ALS, we encourage you to dream big.

When you join us, you’ll be part of a global team harnessing the power of scientific testing and data-driven insights to build a healthier future.

The Role

Are you looking for a hands-on role where accuracy, organisation and teamwork make a real difference?

We’re looking for two Sample Logistics Technicians to join our busy land testing laboratory in Hawarden. This is a great opportunity to start or build a career in environmental testing and laboratory operations.

You don’t need previous laboratory experience to succeed in this role. If you’ve worked in retail, hospitality, warehousing, manufacturing or another fast-moving environment, you may already have the skills we’re looking for, attention to detail, reliability, time management and a team-focused attitude.

As part of our logistics team, you’ll play an important role in the journey of every sample that enters the laboratory. From receiving and registering samples to preparing kits for dispatch and helping maintain an organised working environment, your contribution will help the lab run smoothly and deliver a high-quality service to customers.

If you enjoy practical work, take pride in doing things right and want to be part of a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Position

  • Hours per week: 37
  • Working patterns available: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent
  • Salary: From £25,866 per annum
  • Location: Hawarden

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
