LONDON ACCOUNT MANAGER – SPIRITS
LOCATION:
Nyetimber Group London Office – flexibility to travel as required.
REPORTS TO:
Head of London On-Trade, or another manager assigned by the company
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
No direct reports
COMMUNICATORS:
The role works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Brand Ambassadors, Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing and Finance teams.
MAIN PURPOSE:
The Account Manager is responsible for growing sales and distribution of The Lakes Distillery’s spirits across London’s on-trade. The successful candidate must have proven experience selling and developing premium spirits brands within this channel, supported by strong relationships with key London bars, restaurants, hotels and leading spirits wholesalers. You will also have experience activating spirits brands through effective trade marketing initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leverage established industry contacts to grow The Lakes’ presence, distribution and sales across London’s on-trade.
- Manage and develop existing customer accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Use market insights, commercial tools and industry relationships to deliver agreed strategic objectives.
- Provide accurate monthly sales reports, performance updates and forecasts.
- Build and maintain regular contact with key wholesaler stakeholders.
- Plan and deliver tastings, training sessions, incentives and educational activities, and represent the brand at customer events.
- Collaborate with the Senior Sales Manager – Spirits and the London on-trade sales team to identify and convert growth opportunities.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of accounts, including coordinating customer marketing activity and maintaining accurate sales tracking and reporting.
- Implement key seasonal campaigns and programmes to support brand and commercial objectives.
- Act as a Brand Ambassador for The Lakes, representing the brand professionally and consistently in the market.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the role and any other reasonable requests from management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Proven sales and account management experience within the premium spirits industry.
- A strong track record of growing distribution, sales and brand visibility for premium spirits within London’s on-trade.
- Established relationships with key London bars, restaurants, hotels, spirits wholesalers and other relevant on-trade customers.
- Demonstrable experience in account management and new business development.
- Experience activating premium spirits brands through tastings, training, customer events and trade marketing programmes.
- Excellent relationship-building, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Commercially focused, self-motivated and able to work effectively with a high degree of autonomy.
- Able to manage competing priorities, perform under pressure and consistently meet targets.
