The Life Sciences Specialist Position
Joining the European L.E.K. Life Sciences team will enable you to develop a world-class foundation in commercial problem-solving as you address the issues that face today’s business leaders. A wide variety of projects will give you experience of all aspects of commercial activity. The nature and pace of L.E.K.’s strategic work facilitates the rapid development of a highly analytical skill set in a collaborative and rewarding team-based environment. As you progress you will take on a significant level of responsibility and build your leadership skills.

As a Life Sciences Specialist, you will contribute to projects in many ways:
- Research: conduct critical primary and secondary research to influence client recommendations, e.g. interview scientific experts and key opinion leaders, review medical literature
- Analyse: conduct quantitative analysis, undertake database manipulation, build sophisticated financial models and interpret complex data
- Communicate: translate scientific and medical data and concepts to advise business strategy
- Solve: build on medical and scientific findings of the team to contribute to the overall case-solving process and to answer the client’s key questions
- Manage: from early on, get first-hand experience of managing Associate team member
Who We Are Looking For
We are currently seeking exceptional and committed individuals with the ability to solve complex problems in a creative way. Along with a varied combination of attributes, you will have achieved a PhD or MD/MBBS.
We are looking for a sense of intellectual curiosity that will inspire you to develop a deep understanding of any client situation, and to generate innovative answers to complex questions. We want people with the ability to think in logical, structured ways, together with the creativity to look beyond the obvious.
Our team-oriented approach requires individuals who can collaborate and communicate well. We seek proactive, energetic, and enthusiastic candidates who take ownership of their work and make a meaningful impact.
What We Offer
Training and Development
The Life Science Specialist position at L.E.K. is a launch-pad for your career. You will be supported with a comprehensive initial two-week orientation programme, followed by thorough monthly training sessions designed to complement your on-the-job experience. These cover the full range of skills needed to develop and progress your career within L.E.K., allowing promotion to the Consultant role without attaining an MBA.

International Experience and Exchange Programme
L.E.K. offers you the opportunity to swap to one of our global offices for six months. This is a popular way to experience a different business environment, gain exposure to new industries and specialisms and experience a different culture. In addition, you will often work with colleagues from other offices, on projects with an international scope.
