London Retail Network Manager
ImpactSOS | Part-time | Flexible, field-based | Fixed pay plus performance-related commission
ImpactSOS creates greeting cards that represent and financially support community groups, charities, makers and social-impact organisations.
Over the past few years, we have built a network of approximately 200 independent retailers across London. Our cards are now stocked by cafés, gift shops, bookshops, galleries, garden centres, convenience stores and other community-focused businesses.
We are looking for an outgoing, commercially minded and highly organised person to take day-to-day ownership of this established network.
This is more than a merchandising position. You’ll manage relationships with existing retailers, keep their card ranges performing well, reactivate quieter accounts and continue expanding the network by introducing ImpactSOS to new retailers.
The role will allow our founder to step back from routine London operations and focus on larger partnerships, retail chains and the national development of ImpactSOS.
What you’ll do
You’ll be responsible for managing and developing the ImpactSOS retail network across London.
Your work will include:
- Managing relationships with approximately 200 existing retail accounts
- Organising efficient geographical routes around different areas of London
- Contacting retailers before visits to confirm their stock requirements
- Visiting retailers to check stock levels, maintain displays and arrange restocks
- Helping retailers select card ranges that suit their customers
- Reactivating retailers that haven’t ordered recently
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts
- Visiting suitable new prospects located around established customer routes
- Introducing ImpactSOS to independent cafés, gift shops, bookshops, galleries, garden centres and other retailers
- Installing card displays and supporting new retailers through their first orders
- Keeping accurate records of visits, orders, conversations and future reorder dates
- Identifying multi-location retailers and larger opportunities for the founder
- Sharing customer feedback and helping us improve the way the London network operates
This isn’t a conventional desk-based account-management role. You’ll spend much of your time travelling around London, meeting independent business owners and making sure the network is well looked after.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

How the role will work
Unlike our new territory opportunities, you will be taking responsibility for an established customer network from the beginning.
The role will therefore include:
- A fixed payment reflecting the responsibility of managing the existing London network
- Commission for new retailers you personally introduce
- Additional performance-related rewards for growing London sales, reactivating accounts and improving the performance of the network
Full details of the payment structure, expected working pattern and performance incentives will be discussed during the interview process.
We are initially looking for someone on a flexible, part-time basis, with the opportunity for the role to grow as the London network develops.

- Initial training and ongoing support from the founder

- Access to our ordering and customer-management systems
- An established brand and proven product proposition
- Guidance on route planning, restocking and winning new retailers

Who we’re looking for
You may have experience in field sales, territory management, account management, merchandising, greeting cards, gifts, FMCG, coffee, convenience retail or community engagement.
You might also be someone who has successfully run your own small business or managed a portfolio of independent retail customers.
You’ll be well suited to this opportunity if you:
- Are confident taking responsibility for an established customer network

- Are comfortable walking into a new business and starting a conversation
- Can balance customer service, merchandising and new-business development
- Are highly organised and able to plan efficient routes across London
