Long Term Cover Teacher | Specialist SEMH Primary | West London
We are working with a specialist primary academy in the Hillingdon area to appoint a long term cover teacher.
Every child on roll has an EHCP, with needs that are predominantly social, emotional and mental health related. Classes are small, staffing ratios are generous and the school is built around trauma informed practice, so behaviour is understood rather than simply managed.
What makes this one worth a look
- Nine class groups, each shaped around where the children are in their learning and development rather than age alone.
- On site therapeutic input including play therapy, speech and language therapy and educational psychology, so you are teaching alongside a team rather than carrying complex need on your own.
- The school holds the Inclusion Quality Mark and UNICEF Rights Respecting School status, and the culture genuinely reflects it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
