Long-Term Locum Dentist – Urgent Care Focus
Damira Dental Studios, Woolston (Southampton)
We are looking for experienced, confident dentists to join our busy NHS urgent care centre in Woolston, Southampton. This is not a routine general practice role—this position is suited to clinicians who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoy the challenge of emergency dentistry.

What You Need to Know
This is a dedicated emergency and stabilisation service. Our focus is on relieving pain, managing urgent conditions, and stabilising patients—not delivering comprehensive courses of treatment.
- You will typically see 35–45 patients per day
- Patient flow includes NHS 111 referrals, walk-ins, and stabilisation cases
- No two days are the same adaptability is key
We are looking for clinicians who can work efficiently without compromising patient care, and who are comfortable making quick, sound clinical decisions.

Performance & UDA Expectations

What We’re Looking For
- GDC registered dentist
- Valid NHS performer number (unconditional)
- Experience in general dentistry (urgent care experience desirable)
- Up-to-date indemnity and immunisation records
You’ll also need to be:
- A strong communicator—clear coordination with nurses and front desk is essential
- Able to work at pace while maintaining quality care
- Comfortable in a high-throughput clinical setting
Role Details
Job Title: Long-Term Locum Dentist
Location: 58 Portsmouth Rd, Woolston, Southampton SO19 9AF
Start Date: Immediate
Shifts available:
- Wednesday: 8:00–17:00
- Friday: 8:00–17:00
- Saturday: 8:00–14:00
- Sunday: 8:00–14:00

Day rate: £600 during the week, £450 Saturday and Sunday
Travel expenses: Negotiable
