Liability Loss Adjuster - Remote - Up to £60,000
A leading insurance services business is seeking an experienced Liability Loss Adjuster to join its growing Casualty team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Casualty Adjuster or experienced claims investigator looking for a new challenge, with the opportunity to broaden their technical expertise and develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The role will involve managing a varied portfolio of casualty claims from initial investigation through to resolution. You’ll be responsible for assessing liability, quantum and policy indemnity, gathering and evaluating evidence, and determining the most appropriate strategy to achieve a successful and commercially focused outcome on each claim.
The Role
- Managing a varied caseload of casualty claims from initial investigation through to resolution
- Liaising with insurers, policyholders, brokers and other key stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of each claim
- Investigating claims through a combination of field-based and desktop enquiries
- Gathering, reviewing and assessing evidence and relevant documentation
- Preparing detailed preliminary reports covering policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum and recommended tactics
- Developing appropriate strategies for the effective resolution of claims
- Defending claims and negotiating settlements within agreed authority limits
- Maintaining professional and proactive communication with all parties to ensure claims are progressed efficiently
- Managing claims in line with client requirements, service standards and documented procedures
- Reviewing and maintaining accurate reserves throughout the lifecycle of each claim

The Candidate
- Previous experience within Casualty, Liability or Claims Investigation
- Strong understanding of liability claims and the investigation process
- Ability to assess evidence, liability, quantum and policy indemnity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to claims resolution
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Commercially aware and proactive in approach to claims handling and resolution
- Excellent attention to detail with strong written and report-writing skills
- Ability to work effectively within agreed authority levels, procedures and client requirements
- Willingness to travel when required as part of the role
- Ambitious, adaptable and keen to continue developing technical knowledge and expertise
